General Terms and Conditions

Below you can read our general terms and conditions. The terms apply to all bookings with us, including bookings made through our website, in our app, or if made through a third party.

1. Booking

The number of people, price, accommodation, and other products and services to be delivered by the hotel are specified in the confirmation that the guest receives after booking. Children up to 9 years old have the option to sleep in their parents' bed at no extra cost.

2. Validity of the price agreement

The agreed prices are binding for both parties, but the hotel reserves the right to adjust the prices as a result of changed costs due to increased taxes and fees or other circumstances outside the hotel's control.

3. Changes and cancellations

The booking rules that apply to your booking depend on the type of booking you have made. Always check which rules apply to your booking. These are shown on your booking confirmation. Here you can read more about the different cancellation rules:

3.1 Guaranteed until 16:00

The hotel is obliged to offer a room to the guest until 16:00 on the day of arrival. If the guest has not canceled or arrived before this time, the hotel may cancel the room without contacting the guest.

3.2 Guarantee

The reservation is guaranteed via a corporate agreement, travel agency, or credit card. The hotel will keep the reservation confirmed until 07:00 the following morning. Cancellation of a guaranteed reservation must be made no later than 16:00 on the day of arrival. If the guest does not arrive, or if the guest cancels after 16:00, they must pay for one hotel night.

3.3 Contract bookings

For orders made by customers with a contract with Hotel Kung Carl, the booking/cancellation rules specified in the contract apply.

3.4 Age limit of 18

For guests who are not traveling with parents, we have an age limit of 18. The hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking if valid identification cannot be presented.

3.5 Booking with bonus points

Redemption of bonus points requires membership in World Hotels Crafted and that there are sufficient valid bonus points in the member account to cover the points cost for the entire stay. For cancellations within the regular cancellation period, the used bonus points can be refunded, provided that the bonus points have not expired.

4. Payment

Hotel Kung Carl accepts payment from the following credit card companies: Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Diners, and Eurocard. For bookings made through our website, we accept Visa, American Express, and MasterCard. We do not accept cash.

5. Check-in and check-out times

Booked hotel rooms are guaranteed to be ready for check-in from 15:00 on the day of arrival. Check-out must be completed no later than 11:00 on the day of departure.

6. Liability for damage

The guest, or the person who acts as a guarantor for the room, is responsible for damages that occur as a result of negligence or inappropriate behavior by the guest. We remind you that all hotels are non-smoking. In case of a violation, the hotel will demand compensation for extra cleaning of the room. This compensation amounts to 3000 SEK and will be charged to the final bill to the guest who is responsible for the room.

7. Force majeure

Events outside the control of the contracting parties - for example, strike, lockout, fire, etc. that make it impossible to fulfill the obligations in this agreement - give the right to withdraw from the agreement without liability for compensation.

8. Court

All disputes that may arise between the parties to this agreement (the guest and the hotel) shall be handled according to Swedish legislation. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, the hotel's jurisdiction shall apply, with the exception of mandatory rules in consumer agreements.
